FLYING STAR FENG SHUI UPDATE FOR

 THE YEAR OF THE YIN METAL RABBIT

On February 4^th 2011, we enter a new solar Chinese New Year. 

This is the year of Yin Metal Rabbit. If you want to enhance

the positive energies and suppress the negative energies of 

2011, then please do try to follow the feng shui guidelines to

the maximum.

This year is good for relationships, especially if you activate

 your South-West and the North-East sectors.

From the financial point of view,this is still a recovery year, 

so people are going to be careful on spending. Fuel prices will

be sky rocketing this year.

This year is good for inventions and major medical discoveries

are on the cards.

Those of you who are new to feng shui, flying star feng shui is 

the most powerful formula in feng shui. Each Chinese new year

these annual stars change bringing good and bad energy to 

the different sectors of our environment. This is the day i.e

4^th of feb 2011, we will enter into the year of metal rabbit.

We need to place our feng shui enhancers and cures on 

this day. This year will end on the 3^rd of February 2012.

To start with, we enhance the energies of the positive 

sectors, by keeping them well lit and have lot of fresh

vibrant yang enegy in these sectors of our space(home/

work place) and suppress the negative energies by keeping

the area quiet that means no renovations in these sectors. 

There are 9 feng shui stars, 5 beneficial, 4 challenging 

and 4 annual afflictions which we need to pay attention to. 

The yearly feng shui updates are known as the yearly 

movement of feng shui stars.

The most important point to remember is that feng shui 

remedies/enhancers will not work if applied to a cluttered 

environment. For feng shui to work your space(home/

work place) has to be free of clutter and energized.

The positive sectors for this year are North-West, 

North-East, South-West, South-East and West.

To create yang energy play music, have fresh flowers

 and keep it brightly lit, place the enhancers in these 

sectors and follow some guidelines for the kind of colour

 and element you need to use.

1.North-West is one of the luckiest sectors this year.

 If you have an entrance or your house faces North-

West then you can expect a great year ahead, as long

 as you follow the feng shui guidelines. It will bring you

 lot of wealth luck. Even if you do not have your main

 door here do not be disappointed , enhance this sector

 and you will see results.

Enhancers for North-West:

Use earth colours here. You can use furnishing to do this. 

Don’t have to paint your walls.
Place amethyst crystals or quartz crystal, place a three 

legged toad in the North-West of your living room.
Add the water element in the form of a water fountain 

or an aquarium here. If you have an entrance place the 

water feature  with 6 birds/double dragon water feature 

on the left hand side of the entrance inside looking out. If 

you have bedrooms in this sector then do not use the water

 element.
Keep this area well-lit and play music.
Keep the windows and doors open whenever possible. Hang 

a facetted crystal with a red mystic knot thread and an  

i-ching coin in the North-West window.

2. North-East: Enhance this sector for mentor and 

career luck. This will also get victory luck in competitions.

Enhancers for North-East:

Use metal objects nothing sharp.
Good colors for this sector are blue, grey, black and metallic.
Create a vision board in this sector, place pictures of things 

you desire.
Place a pair of elephants with the trunk raised
Place a dragon image with a set of three coins tied together.
Place a set of calligraphy brush here to attract education luck.
Hang a victory banner wind chime here.

3. South-West: This sector has excellent romance energy this 

year, as well as good for creativity.

Enhancers for the South-West are:

If you are single place romantic figurines, place a pair of mandarin

ducks, double happiness symbol.
If you are already married but in your 20’s and 30’s, put up pictures 

of yourself here. Can also place mandarin ducks.
If you are above 40 then have family photographs here. If you have 

your bedroom here place a wu lou and five element pagoda on either 

side of your bed.
Do not use fire colors’ here or metal colors. Blue and black are good

enhancers for southwest this year. Do not use too much black.
A vibrant green healthy plant is a must for the Southwest of 

your space. Do not place a plant in the bedroom.

4. South-East: Good for career, wealth, politicians, 

leaders, and anyone involved in jewellery business. This 

sector should be enhanced to achieve prosperity luck 

from heaven, authority and power as well. To activate 

you need to place little metal here.This sector has helpful 

and auspicious energy to achieve recognition for your 

accomplishments. It also encourages you to aim higher and 

become more than you thought possible.

Enhancers for South-East:

Feng shui water element colours such as blue, black, grey 

and charcoal.
Real quartz crystals are excellent for this sector.
Hang 8-i-ching coins tied in a circle with a wealth ingot 

or 6-i-ching coins tied together this activates the heaven luck.
Family photographs and mandarin ducks.
Place a wish list.
Avoid fire element here,such as candles and red colour.

5. West: Energizing the west sector brings you 

future prosperity and long term benefits from whatever 

you start in 2011. Do not sit with your back towards the 

west this year.

Enhancers for West:

Keep it brightly lit.
Nine rings dragon and snake sword is the best activation 

as it symbolizes victory over the entire universe. Placing 

this powerful sword in the west of your home or office 

 will help you triumph over all obstacles, enemies, competition, 

problems and obstructions.
Put up family photographs also images of waterfall/ beach are 

good.
Use shades of blue.
No mirrors or water element colors.
Fresh flowers, happy images and candles are good here
Can enhance by using everything in nines, like 9 photographs, 

9 candles or nine flowers.
Place the three celestial guardians facing west, this is a must.
6 chinese coins.

6. North: This area has quarellsome energies, which cause 

meaningless arguments, fights and can rock all relationships

-from professional to intimate. This negative energy has 

to be controlled. It is the most damaging sector for the 

year and should be remedied as follows:

Dragon  with a flaming jewel or bejeweled red dragon or the 

flaming magic wheel. This is a very powerful cure for subduing

quarrelsome energy directed towards you.
North needs fire colors. Keep it well lit.
No metal objects or moving objects.
No water or water colours in the north this year.
Use a lamp with a wooden base and a red lampshade.
If you have a main door here use the bagua mirror with the 

i- ching coin at the back.
Can also place a set of fuk luk and sau.

7. South:  The energy in the south is not good for your 

health. If you are living in a house which is sitting or facing 

south, please do not overlook, make sure you put all the cures. 

Remedies for South:

Place lot of metal, place a five element pagoda and hang a  

wu lou windchime.
If you have a bedroom again place the wu lou and a five 

element pagoda on either side of the bed.
Hang a six rod all metal windchime.
No fire element or fire colours in the south this year it can 

be disastrous for your health.
Six chinese coins.
Metal singing bowl or five element bell.

8.East: It is the most afflicted sector for the year. Energy 

here brings bad luck, misfortunes, loss of money and income. 

If you have a bedroom in this sector it is preferable to shift 

to another room. Keep this area as quiet as possible, no 

renovations to be taken in this sector.

Remedies for the East:

Hang a six rod metal windchime.
Place a five element pagoda.
Tree of life with birds.
Place your metal artifacts here nothing pointed.
Hang 6 chinese coins
Display a gold piyao in the East.
If you have your bedroom here place a five element pagoda 

and the wu lou next to your bedside.

9.Centre: Energy in the center brings robbery and bad 

luck to everyone. It also brings physical danger. The 

following remedies need to be placed:

A blue rhino and an elephant/ or the elephant and the rhino 

plaque.
Add a water body in the center.
No crystals
No blue grey or charcoal colors
No candles
No metal windchime.

feng shui update for 2010

This is the year of the Metal Tiger. The year of the metal Tiger begins on 14th of Feb'2010 and will end on the 3rd of feb'2011.The key points to note in this year of metal tiger are that there is lack of water energy.


Those of you who have taken advise from a feng shui consultant, will benefit by placing water element in the right place. Placement of water is very crucial so please be careful where you place your aquariums and fountains inside and outside your home/office. To really benefit from the water energizer place a small dragon image in the water feature. To make up for the lack of water energy, adorn yourself with water energy in the clothes and accessories you wear.Blues and blacks are luckiest for the year.


Lets get down to the basics:
We have 9 flying stars which have there effect on the 9 areas of any environment, This can be your home, office, country etc. The 9 areas are North, South, NorthEast, NorthWest, East, SouthEast, West,SouthWest and Centre.


No.1 star flies to the West:This is a lucky star which brings career and mentor luck especially to those whose main entrances/bedrooms are in the West.This also gets you victory luck.To energize use 6 chinese coins ties together. Do not use red/fire colours.
 Those who want to use traditional chinese enhancers use 9 rank badges/6 rod victory banner windchime.


No.2 star, which is known as the illness star flies to the Northeast. Anyone who is already ill/old/small children should avoid using this room. If you have a room/office in this sector make sure you hang a 6 rod hollow windchime. Also whichever room you use make sure you have a wu lou and the five element pagoda on either side on the bed side tables to ward off the effect of the illness star when it flies into your bedroom/office.Place lot of metal in the NorthEast this year and the windchime is a must.

No.3 star: Known as a quarrelsome star flies to the South Sector.
Use lot of fire colours and elements here. This can seriously rock and damage relationships leading to a lawsuit..Hang 6 chinese coins tied together and use a flaming magic wheel.


No4.star flies to the North. Place symbols of romance in this sector, like the mandarin ducks. Place a small water feature in the north as too much water is not good.can also place lucky bamboo/dancing bamboo.This star also gets you scholastic luck. Place 6 calligraphy brushes here.

No.5 star flies to the SouthWest. This is extremely an unauspicious star. Those who have entrances and rooms make sure you place all the cures.Keep minimum activity here and keep the windows and doors closed.Do not do any kind of construction work here. Not even digging the lawn.Place a 6 rod windchime in this sector and make sure you shake it 2-3 times a day. No windchime should touch your head when you go under it. Place lot of metal in this sector.


No.6 heaven star flies to the East,this star brings prosperity and authority luck. Place metal here but not too much.Hang a windchime/ place 6 chinese coins tied together.Authentic feng shui cure is 6 smooth coins strip.


No.7 the burglary star is in the SouthEast this year. Place a lucky bamboo or money plant in water.
This star can get violent energy. Houses facing SE should make sure there doors and windows are kept locked, do not open the rooms in this sector for long time. Authentic Chinese cures are Double horned rhino and 6 tusk elephant. If you have any old elephant tusks place them here.


No.8 lucky star is in the center. This is a prosperity star. Enhance this sector by not placing metal and wood here, place mandarin ducks, place amethyst and rose quartz crystal in the centre. Make sure the centre of the home/office is open and clutter free. You can also place water here.make sure to activate it correctly to benefit from it. Place a red colour three legged toad facing your sheng chi direction. Hang faceted crystal balls in the centre.

No.9: is the future prosperity star flies to the NW. If your main door is in the NW it will be a good year for you.It will get you long term benefits and good fortune in the future. This also means successful completion of projects started in the prior year. So do not be overly concerned if there are negative stars at your main door or in the bedroom you are residing in.
